Non-Food Items Distribution Project – Serba Local Emergency Rooms

In a commendable humanitarian effort, the Serba Local Emergency Rooms, under the Emergency Coordination Council of West Darfur and the Kendebe Administrative Unit, successfully implemented a non-food items distribution project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families in the region. The initiative targeted 100 households, providing them with essential non-food supplies to help ease the burden of displacement and hardship.

This project was made possible through generous funding from the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF), channeled via the organization “People to People,” with a total contribution of $5,000. The materials distributed included basic household items tailored to the urgent needs of affected families.

The local community responded with overwhelming appreciation, with many beneficiaries expressing heartfelt thanks to the donors and organizers. Community leaders also praised the initiative, highlighting its role in addressing critical gaps in humanitarian assistance and reinforcing solidarity during challenging times.

Such interventions are vital in conflict-affected areas like West Darfur, where access to basic services remains limited. The success of this project underscores the importance of continued support and collaboration between humanitarian actors and local emergency structures to meet the growing needs of displaced and vulnerable populations.
